Description
Ryan's Rip is a small crag that can be found high on the ski resort above Girdwood. There are three very short climbs, one is not recommended but the views and experience of running around this alpine setting is relay where the joy of this area is found. Maybe clip just you shoes to you belt and scramble these off the tick list if you feel good on runout 5.8.
Getting There
There are two ways to get to Ryan's Rip. The best way is to ride the tram from the Alyeska Resort and walk down the road for ten minutes. The more challenging way is to walk up from the main ski lodge area. Start near the end of the Alyeska Highway and follow the main trail up the toward the tram drop off. Walk up hill for about an hour.
