Description
The County Line Boulders can be found at the Mesa/Montrose County line. Many of these boulders are just off CO Highway 141, but there is ample opportunity for the more adventurous souls. There is a decent quantity of boulders located in this area, and the rock quality is premium!
Many of these boulders have been developed by previous groups/individuals. There is an excellent guidebook that highlights several problems located in the area, by Christian Prellwitz, "A Guide to Bouldering in the Telluride & West End Areas".

Getting There
From Gateway, drive southeast on CO Highway 141 for approximately 16 miles. You'll eventually reach the Mesa/Montrose County line, a cattle guard, and a large parking area. Many of the boulders are located on the highway's south side, but there are definitely more areas to explore on the north side.
