Description

This town is the entry point to get back to Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre, etc. The town is surrounded by rhyolite cliffs with oodles of sport climbs. Climbing sport routes so close to Fitz Roy makes you feel a little like you're dating the prom queen's ugly sister but at least you're going to the dance. Many of the climbs only have one bolt to rappel.

Getting There

Typically travelers land in El Calafate and take a bus to El Chalten.
