8 - One Day Wall

Description

The One Day Wall was prepped, equipped, and climbed in a single day: May 30, 2010. The wall has a WSW aspect providing morning shade.

Getting There

Disembark and hike straight up the rocky drainage for approximately 15 minutes. The strenuous hike involves a small amount of scrambling but is over soon enough. Gains 500' in 0.20 miles.

Follow the right branch when the trail forks near the base of the cliff and hike for another 15 minutes. Pass the Bishop and Knight sectors. Hike up slabs staying left until you hit the upper walls. Work right until a notch allows you to go up and over the ridge.

[Hide Comment] Spanish Fry and Last But Not Least are on a semi-detached wall to the right and downhill. There is a gully with a tower at the top right, dividing the two. I was there this morning (2020-09-05), and when I left at 9:45 a.m. there was no sign of sun hitting the wall anytime soon. Compass reading shows this wall has a primarily westerly aspect.
