Description
The Yellowjacket Boulderfield may be even more impressive than the Yellowjacket Boulder itself. This rock extends from the summit of Bald Knob, down the hill for hundreds of yards.
The rock on these boulders is similar to what is found at the Davis Boulders. It's crystally, and pretty devoid of holds. The concentration of problems is much higher than Davis, and there's definitely more potential for new stuff. Like the Davis Boulders, the Yellowjacket Area has a great diversity of problems. From scary highballs to one-move sit starts, this area has something for everyone.
We are working on a map of this complex area and will post one shortly.

Getting There
Follow directions like you're heading to the Yellowjacket Boulder. When you reach the first good-sized boulder in the stream, head left, across the stream and diagonal slightly uphill. In about one minute, you'll see the Log Boulder. About three minutes past that, you'll come to the bottom of the Skyfall Area, which is a jumble of boulders. Beyond that, is The Hive. Above The Hive, you'll see the Pillars.
