Description
Grizzly Park is an alpine park within the National Forest. Located behind Bears Ears, this part of the forest is perhaps the most secluded.
The Grizzly Park Road (Forest Road #118) is a high clearance/4WD road, smaller SUVs will do fine. Make sure to have a spare tire, you will cross the creek numerous times on your drive into the park.
Bears and rattlesnakes are both very common in the spring, summer, and fall months.
You are hours from help with little to no cell phone service...remember to travel prepared. Camping spots are plentiful, and the creek offers wonderful fishing.

Getting There
There are numerous ways to reach this mountain range, so I will just give the directions as you travel north on Highway 13.
From Craig, head north on Highway 13. Turn East on Moffat County Road #27 (you will see an old and shut down sawmill at the turn). Follow this county road to the National Forest Boundary, crossing over at cattle guard. From here the road is National Forest Road #110. Continue on FR110 until reaching an intersection that is posted "Bears Ears Peak" FR116. Take FR116. Follow FR116, passing behind the Bears Ears and continuing to another posted intersection for "Grizzly Park FR118". Take FR118.
Welcome to Grizzly Park.
