Description Suggest change

A steep, thin, knife-like peak with nice rock (granodiorite Skagit gneiss) and a vertical south face. Named as one of the best climbs in the Pickets and one of his 100 favorite North American climbs by the first ascentist, Fred Beckey. He climbed it first with his brother Helmy on August 29, 1940, while still in high school. The first winter ascent was by Colin Haley and Forrest Murphy on February 8, 2003, also via the original route, the West Ridge.
