Description Suggest change

This amazing 75 foot monolith with no easy way to it's summit is located directly across from the Main Ridge Pinnacles and home to the best collection of 5.11 routes in the entire Pinnacles and as such worth the two mile uphill hike.

The formation bears resemblence to a submarine from the south resulting in a few routes with that theme although many of the others have a distinct space theme.

Routes are located on all sides but the west face is the one that truly shines with routes like Def-Con 4 (5.11a), American Heros (5.11a), 2001 (5.11b), 2002 (5.11c), Alpenglow (5.11d) and I Have the Con (5.12b).

Getting There Suggest change

Hike the summit trail to where it levels out and the formation will come into view. A brushy trail breaks off from the main trail and leads to the base which is fairly level. Plan on a solid hour or more for the uphill approach.
