Description (POSTED - No Trespassing)
Also known as Lewis Rocks and hosts the classic Bankrobbers Cave. This area has a dozen or more boulders of good quality.
The land is owned by Tumbling Run Game Preserve. This is a private hunting preserve and the borders of the property are heavily posted with "No Trespassing" signs. Please consider another climbing destination to avoid any issues with landowners and hunters.
SCPC is consistently working towards gaining and preserving access to our climbing areas in the central part of the state. Feel free to contact them with further questions, updates, and ways that you can get more involved with climbing stewardship and advocacy.
Getting There
Park on 233 and hike up hill or go up Woodrow Rd off of rt 233 and park at top of mountain. Hike left to Tumbling Run and right to Purgatory Rock. First problem you will come to at Tumbling Run is Heavy Metal Kids and is on Michaux State Forest Land. Beyond that boulder, the land is posted "No Trespassing" and is owned by Tumbling Run Game Preserve.
