Description Suggest change

A small crag, Hertenstein is a wedge of limestone overlooking the town of Baden. With 20 routes (a few more if you get creative with linking), you will quickly try everything there.

A handful of hard climbs, marked by fingery delicate moves on sometimes quite good rock, but mostly easy climbs on heavily used rock.

It is common to see new trad leaders practicing gear placement on the easy climbs on the right side.

Getting There Suggest change

Train to Baden, walk up hill to the Restaurant Hertenstein ~ 20 min.
Drive to Restaurant Hertenstein, walk 1 minute.

The crag is behind the restaurant, down a narrow unmarked path.
