Description Suggest change

The Friend Creek Pinnacle Area is a great cool summer place to do a 2.4 mile hike and then climb for a day/week on outstanding steep gear routes. The main ridge is fractured-jointed big pieces of granite whose cracks are quite friendly to nuts or cams. The rock surface is fine grained Laramie Peak Granite occasionally offering handholds and features but most of the climbing is user friendly hand and finger variety splitter-like cracks. The Pinnacle and Ridge are about 1/4 mile off the Laramie Peak Summit Trail in the region of Friend Creek Falls at the second switchback. Many more such cracks are along this ridge and await first ascents with little cleaning of loose rock.

Getting There Suggest change
