Description Suggest change

The west face of Lowell offers lots of good climbing. But it is a 5 mile hike, bushwack to get there. You will be all alone and with no help around. The rock is a bit loose on the north and south end of the large face. The middle section is very good rock, slabby blocks with little protection. This is in a Wilderness area, so no bolts or pins or webbing left around.

Getting There Suggest change

Hike Sawyer Ridge Trail to the Junction of Carrigain notch trail. After a few miles you will see the west face on your right. In the winter the trip we be from the paved road. Its about 5 miles to the face from here.
