Description
A stunning band of rock, curves around the top of the Aescher mountain. Climbing is all in the 6a-7a range, with fantastic exposure to the valley. Sharp, pocketed limestone. Worth the trip out to Appenzell.
There is a guest house, Wildkirchli, with room/board for ~25 chf.

Getting There
Train/bus or car to Wasserauen, a small town dedicated to mountain sports. The Ebenalp cable car takes you up top, then there is a 10 minute, mostly downhill hike to the cliff. If you miss the last cable car down, it's a steep 1 hr+ hike back to town.
