CM: Henley, Forgotten Wall
Missouri
Access Issue: Private Property and very limited parking a long the road
Details
Parking area blocked to limit access, liability, and reduce trash dumping. Park at the end of the guardrail or access by river. This extensive cliff line, located near the small town of Henley, is one of Missouri's greatest classic crags.
Description
This classic, mid-Missouri, limestone crag is a warm, south facing cliff carved along the Osage River. Lots of history, numerous sport routes, mixed lines, and trad to be had while parking is limited these days.
The Forgotten Wall, aka Henley, is often forgotten from time to time, then rediscovered and remembered by the climbing community as the wonder filled wall of great continued potential. Lots of thanks to Norm Reed and others who developed and cleaned the area for future climbers.
Getting There
15 minutes from Jefferson City, Missouri. Ask a fellow climber then only take one car. Remember to tread lightly and keep the crags clean.
