Description
The Stone Tower area has a phenomenal concentration of boulder problems in all difficulty levels. For those bouldering above V6, the 20 foot Bob Johnson boulders, The Hidden Boulder, and Stone Tower Boulder should not be missed. For those bouldering below V6, great climbs can be found on the Queen's Row, Slant Right, and Egg Boulders. However, almost all of the boulders have something for everyone. The average hike between boulders in this area is less than 7 minutes.
Getting There
The Stone Tower area is located along Great Woods Road/Trail. It is easily found by walking from the main parking lot to the left side (South Side) of Walden Pond. Pass through the two stone pillars at the end of the parking lot and proceed up the path until you reach an obvious fork (6-8 minutes from the lot). Head left and proceed up the hill another 3 minutes to the Stone Tower. This is the center of the area.
