Description

Just off the AT, a nice shaded area for top-roping and bouldering. Pretty secluded but easily accessed. Except for the bouldering area right off the road, you can't see the climbing areas from your car. Several different areas for bouldering ranging from along the road to the tops top of the mountain. Great view from the edge of the Outlook. Lots to explore. Smithsburg is a few minutes away, Waynesboro, PA is also up the road about 10-15 minutes. Visit the Waynesburger for good gyros and burgers after a day of climbing.

Getting There

From Rt 70, take exit for 66 North. Make a right on 64 and then right onto 491/Raven Rock Road. Drive up the road until you see the AT. Lots of space to park along the road. Up the road about 100 feet from the AT is a section of bouldering. Or head up the AT to the various sections.
