Description
This area includes all bouldering in the Tucson region, with the exception of bouldering areas in the Santa Catalina Mountains (Mount Lemmon). See Mount Lemmon (Santa Catalina Mountains) for bouldering there.
While southeastern Arizona is host to many superb sport and trad climbing areas, one common complaint is the lack of quality bouldering. Compared to many other areas of the country, this is a fair complaint. However, there are some decent options, and new bouldering areas are being developed all the time.
Joe Kreidel's website, boulderingtucson.com, is perhaps the best resource for detailed and up to date information on Tucson bouldering. Website defunct for some time now.
http://www.oldpueblobouldering.com/ contains significantly more information on the various areas for Tucson bouldering than what is available on MP at the moment.
