Description
Packed with classic problems and great landings, the Upper Matrix is worth hiking to. Plus, combining your trip with a visit to the nearby Matrix area gives you access to a ton of problems across the grades - a one stop shop for all your bouldering needs!
Getting There
Take trail beside nature center into the forest. At first three-way trail junction go Right. At second three-way junction go Right and head downhill a short way to third three-way junction. Go Left and follow white blazed trail for a while until you see the Highball boulder on left side of trail. Skirt around the backside of the Highball boulder and take the access trail leading uphill until the trail levels. Continue on the level ground following cairns past the Prow Area until you come to the Upper Matrix area.
