Access Issue: SOUTH SIDE CRAGS ARE CLOSED
Details
7/2021: Access in this area has always been nebulous, but recently landowners have made clear that they want NO visitors in the area. Please refrain from visiting any of the crags on the Southside of the Meadow, including those along Glade Creek (Mud Hueco) and Orange Wall. This includes drivers, cyclists, ATVers, and climbers. Please climb at another crag.
Description
The Brilliant Pebble offers a little something for everyone. This very large boulder has routes on all sides, with a good variety of grades, both trad and sport. Although the climbs are only 50 feet tall, they are all very high quality. It's also a short easy walk to the Mud Hueco Area by following the trail directly behind Delta Star.
Getting There
Follow the Propp's Ridge Road approach for all of the South Side Meadow Crags. At the point where you turn left on to the railroad grade continue for .3 miles to a campsite area on the right. Park in the campsite, or if it is full, there are many places here to pull off and park, just be sure to keep your vehicle completely off the road. From the campsite, walk back upstream along the road for about 15 yards and look for a trail that heads up right into the woods. It's only maybe a 100 yard approach to the Pebble. The trail will bring you directly to the overhanging white face with several hard sport climbs.
