Description
Some of the best power-endurance 5.11 climbing in Central Washington is found at the steep Powerhouse. This cliff is the tallest and most consistently overhanging entablature layer at Vantage. From the awesome jug-haul Take Hold of the Flame to the classic pumpy roof King of the Ruins, almost every route on the wall is a classic. Expect grades to be stiff for the Coulee, FA being Mike Massey on most of the routes. If you want shade come early in the day as the Powerhouse is bathed in sun for the majority of the day.
The name comes from Tacoma's electrical station turned restaurant.
