Description
Often loosely referred to simply as the Sitdown Area from from a popular route on the Split Boulder, this is a main cluster of boulders with many problems from V0 to ????? on either side of the spur road. Sunny, shady and right next to the road. Being next to the road and with lots of problems, this is a good spot to meet up. Properly speaking, Druid's Circle is the right side of the road with the Pedestal, and the Sitdown area is the left side with the Split Boulder.
Getting There
Upon entering the Park from the west entrance (Twin River Rd), go to the left and park, then continue north up the road past the gate and almost immediately take the paved road to the left. Follow this back, passing the Heart Boulder and The Egg. After a dip and a rise up a curving hill, you will see a big split boulder on the left with an obvious traversing crack facing you. You have arrived. You can also drive here, but you must go all the way around the lake. The 10-15 minute walk is easy and a lot of classic problems are on the way.
