Description Suggest change

Buffalo Mountain looms above you on the North side of I-70, across from Lake Dillon. Per Zac Snelling: it has a number of good trails that are well-maintained and easy to navigate.

Getting There Suggest change

From I-70, take the Silverthorne exit and the frontage road west. Head into the condos below Buffalo Mountain where the frontage road turns North onto Ryan Gulch Road which turns into Wildernest Road. Park near the end of Wildernest Road, past the condos, at the Willow Creek trailhead. Head up the Buffalo Cabin Trail to access the snow climb up the broad avalanche paths to the summit.
