There are over 130 routes here ranging from III-IX (5.4-5.12c) Most in the 5.9-10 range. These short cliffs offer peaceful rural climbing among endless vinyards and a winding river. Rock quality is generally good, and the formations offer fun variety.

The climbing is split into 13 sections ("Sektor" in German). Watch for signs about closures which occasionally occur and are posted by the local authorities due to rock quality/fall or environmental reasons.

Getting There Suggest change

TRAIN: To Bessigheim, though from there you will have to hitch to the crags, en route to Hessigheim.
AUTO: Take the A81 N from Stuttgart and get off at Pleidelsheim. From there follow the river toward Mundelsheim, you will pass through Hessigheim and separate from the river, when you reunite with the river, you will see the crags up to your right.
