Description
I have found this block climbable all year long, but that is not for everyone. It's one of the best chunks of stone in the park. Worth the walk as is the whole SOUTHERN side of the "Ponderosa Trail." Climbing is every where!!!
Getting There
The best way to get to "The Spire" is to park in the upper or second parking lot. Take the "Bluebird Meadow Trail" EAST to it's junction with "The Silver Fox Trail." At this junction continue east on the "Silver Fox Trail" until you run into the "Ponderosa Trail." Once these two trials meet follow the "Ponderosa about 50 or so yards while looking up hill in a North/Easterly direction. "The Spire" should soon come into view. Then it's climb time.
