Little Huron River Range Climbing

Drive East on Skanee Rd out of L'anse MI. Take Big Eric's bridge to Little Huron river bridge. From Big Eric's head east, at 0.5 miles, turn LEFT onto the road to Little Huron river bridge. At 1.3 miles head to LEFT, note gate labeled "DAVIO" to right. Around 3.0 ml, Ghost Peak is .25/.5 ml north of road. This road cuts across the base of "ghost peak" which has good bouldering and a comprehensive view of the range. At 3.3 ml turn left. At 3.7 mi, the road heads to left "north" and parallels the Little Huron. At 4.6 ml turn RIGHT and 4.7 ml is the Little Huron river and bridge.

The Little Huron river road is a seasonal road, and can be rough, side trails are often traps.  STARTING rate for back country auto tow, ect. (2019), from Lanse is $300.  I can personally attest for this, AND that is if there is some one available. The roads and trails east of the river are NOTORIOUS for being blocked, mapped wrong and/or not represented and may dead end at the Huron Mountain Club. HMC patrol are official deputized officers by the Marquette county sheriff, stay on public access land.
