Description
I've spoken with many climbers who have explored this area and seen the potential. This is the southwest side of Little Foxx, and is exclusively bouldering, most of which (if not all) can be considered high ball. While each problem has it's own quirks, style and beta, most of them end with a slopey/slabby top out. The Tree Boulder is the first rock one comes to, just up the hill 50 ft. or so from Haines Rd. The other areas lie uphill and further down to the right (north) along the trail about 400 meters beyond the Tree Boulder. If you're in the mood for some scary topouts and fun problems, the hike is well worth it. The trail will eventually lead one to the 4th class scramble up to the base of Skittle Phlegm, then to Slap My Ass..., and North Little Foxx. Much thanks to Chris Harkness for taking the initiative on this area.
Getting There
Park in the small pullout at the corner of Haines Road and Skyline Drive (40th ave West turns into Haines if one is driving uphill from I-35). Cross the street and walk downhill 20 ft until you see the start of the orange flagging on a stick, just on the other side of the guard rail. Follow the path until you find what you're looking for. The orange flagged trail goes all the way to Skittle Phlem
