The Orange Wall

Wyoming > Wind River Range > Ross Lakes Area > Grasshopper Valley

Description

On the north side of the Grasshopper Creek and toward the western end of the Grasshopper Valley where the Grasshopper Glacier comes in from the south. This area is described in Kelsey's Guide to Hiking and Climbing in the Wind Rivers.

Getting There

There is decent camping below the Orange Wall. The wall sits about 1/4 of a mile above the creek. Once you are in the Grasshopper Valley the approach is pretty quick and simple.
