Details
Climbing at The Pond, Atlantis and Mine Area are private property, and now requires that you register in order to gain legal access. This is an easy process. You can do this at: queencreekclimbing.com/. This is a one-time and free process so once you are registered you are good to go.
You can read more about this process and the announcement at the Queen Creek Coalition website – theqcc.com or the Queen Creek Coalition’s Facebook page – facebook.com/Queen-Creek-Co…
Description
Cool valley with lots of good bouldering and a seasonal creek.
Getting There
There are two ways to access from the Magma Mine Road. The first pullout hidden on the right just before the pullout on the left for Oak Flats West. The second pullout is no longer accessible due to a newly installed guard rail. One now has to hike the long way to the Yakov wall.
[Hide Comment] The thing that most people call scatterbrain is V1-V2 I think. The burly over hang is V6-7? I've heard that called scatterbrain too. I haven't finished the burly overhang yet though. I haven't been on those things in a while though so the ratings may be off... that's whats sticking in my head though....

[Hide Comment] yeah, the one i did is the most obvious line that starts on the flake and goes up and right, few long moves, evntually to jug horn on the prow, followed by more long moves to jugs. single bolt at the top out. i didnt think it was harder than V2-3, but i dont boulder, and i TRd it off the single bolt... too highball for me.

[Hide Comment] 3/9/22: Walked around most of Euro Dog today, wouldn't have even known there was a fire nearby. It's very green right now, even had water at Mermaid Lagoon.
3/13/22 update: Did a bunch of trail maintenance from the 45 deg slab to Titanic, should be much easier to navigate now (other than the short scrambly bit before Mermaid Lagoon).
