Brick Wall

Georgia > Currahee Mountain

Description

The Brick Wall is the steepest, shortest wall at Currahee. It is highly featured but don't let that fool you, all of the climbs on this wall are above .9 with most falling in the .11 range. It offers sport, mixed, and trad. Most of the climbs can be easily top roped. This wall is also a good choice for warmer days due to the fact that it only gets afternoon sun. If you want to really bear down and crimp till your forearms pump out, this is the wall for you at Currahee.

Getting There

If walking from the tower, head down the trail on the right side of the parking lot. If below the walls head left. From left to right; Brick Wall, Slab; Buzzard.

[Hide Comment] Maybe I'm just not used to the style or the rock, but I felt that the routes I tried here were pretty cryptic and the hold finding was difficult on the onsights. Little bit o' beta goes a long way though. May 2, 2019
[Hide Comment] For some history, many routes listed here as sport climbs were originally top-rope climbs. At least a few of these routes were retrobolted without first contacting the FAs. Oct 26, 2022

[Hide Comment] Please be careful in and around the the rock outcrops above the brick wall. There are some sensitive and uncommon/rare rock outcrop plant species (Round-leaved Fameflower in particular) that would be easy to kill by stepping carelessly. Remember to practice LNT and avoid stepping on vegetation when at all possible, you can always walk the few extra feet. Nov 2, 2022
