Description
Queenstown is found on the southern end of the South Island. It is sometimes called the adventure capital of New Zealand due to the wide variety of "extreme" tourist attractions found in the area. There are a number of quality climbing area's within an hours drive of the city.
Wye Creek offers interesting sport climbing on compact schist for those willing to hike. The Remarkables are within reach for those looking for multi-pitch alpine adventures. There are also a handful of smaller crags sprinkled around the valley.
