Ghost Ranch Area Rock Climbing

Ghost Ranch is an area near Abiquiu, NM. Climbers driving by always find themselves thinking, "I wish that sandstone was just a bit better quality."  Sadly the majority of the rock is just not quite good enough for safe and/or enjoyable climbing.  That said, the hardened adventurers among us have climbed the obvious towers, all relatively close to the highway, almost always involving a fair amount of aid climbing and ass-puckering moments. 

And few of the most obvious, highest quality crack lines have been climbed too. Look for faded tat anchors at the top of the cracks to determine if they've been climbed.
