Access Issue: NO DRONES ON NATIONAL PARKLANDS Details

All of the crags within the New River Gorge proper are on national parklands, and drone use is prohibited here. There has been some discussion about places to launch drones that are not on park property, and then flying them over the gorge. This is super poor form; don't do it. Park regulations prohibit all drone use over the boundaries without a permit.

Description

Spider heavy climbing.
So many spiders it is hard to enjoy oneself, but the lack of crowds helps out a great deal.

There are quite a few enjoyable climbs, and the area will never have crowds.

Getting There

Continue past Zealous, heading downstream for 5 min, stop anywhere and you are at Dog Wall.

When crossing the power line cut, be sure to take the trail that trends downhill. There is a trail that goes above these walls, takes you nowhere, then peters out. It wasted 45 mins of my semi-valuable time. Nov 21, 2012
