Boynton Canyon (named after homesteader John Boeington) is an enormous canyon which holds stupendous adventures of all shapes and sizes. Graced with incredible beauty, the canyon is rumoured to contain more than one-hundred ancient Native American habitation sites. Today, the original Boeington property is occupied by the prestigious Enchantment Resort, one of Sedona's finest hotels.
While rock-climbers will be drawn to the plethora of unique rock formations and towering walls, most visitors are attracted to Boynton Canyon for its status as the most powerful energy vortex site in all of Red Rock Country. More than a few visitors have reported being struck with overwhelming emotion that moves them to tears of joy.
Simply put, this canyon has some of the highest potential for new routes in all of Sedona. There are lifetimes of rock to explore.
The routes are rarely climbed, so the rock can be a bit loose and chossy.
