HUMAN WASTE Human waste is one of the major issues plaguing Red Rocks. The Las Vegas Climbers Liaison Council and the AAC provides free "wag bags" in several locations (Black Velvet, First Pullout, Kraft Mtn/Bouldering, The Gallery, and The Black Corridor). These bags are designed so that you can pack your waste out - consider bringing one to be part of your kit (just like your rope and shoes and lunch) no matter where you go. Once used, please dispose of them properly (do not throw them in the toilets at the parking area).
Description
Sun and shade at this excellent cliff. There are several quality routes and it is well worth spending a day here.
Very easy to combine with a trip to Holiday Wall, as this wall is only five minutes beyond.
Getting There
Hike about 50 yards up a creek bed just beyond Holiday Wall, then head up left across slabs. Look for the tight cleft in the wall. It seems a bit easier to stay a bit lower and come up to the lower tier first. The namesake route, James Brown, climbs the face outside and to the left of the gap.
