Description

This small spire is about 100 yards northwest of Paul's Backyard and to the left of the road.

There’s a story regarding the naming of this feature/route. Seems champagne was consumed on an empty stomach and the tunes cranked up for a Beastie Boys tune. In true karaoke style Mike lip synced “If I knew it was going to be this kind of party I would have stuck my dick in the mashed potatoes,” and before they knew it Mike’s pants were down and aiming for the pan when contact was made with the hot skillet which brought a scream, some sizzle, and a burn. There lies the story behind the naming of the Burnt Penis. Believe it or not.

Getting There

To approach drive as going to the Cattle Pocket. Continue one hundred yards past Paul’s Paradise and look left (southwest). The distinctive black phallic formation is set in the desert 20 yds from the road.
