Follow existing trails and climb using removable protection or in climbing areas with existing approved fixed anchors or bolts. Development of any new rock climbing, bouldering or rappelling areas and development of any climbing routes involving the permanent installation of new fixed anchors or new trail construction requires prior Forest Service authorization.

Description

This monolithic feature is also known as Revenuer's Rock. It is the huge rock across the valley from Chimney Top with the blocky, airy rockhouse to the right of a notch known as Pinch Em Tight Gap.

Getting There

Park at the Sheltowee Trace Trailhead along KY 715 near the suspension bridge on the Sheltowee. Cross the river downstream of the bend and then hike straight up the steep slope to the base of the rock. You should be near the start of Duke's Day.

There is a 4th class dirt scramble on the NE corner of the rock if you can find it. Hike left to find Pinch Em TIght Gap if you're interested. You can do two raps near the top of Duke's Day with a 60m rope.
