Description
Left Flank is one of the most popular sport crags in the RRG. It has routes ranging from 5.8 to 5.13 with a good sampling of routes at all grades between.
It has a western and southern aspect, and is a great winter crag.
The rock is surreally patterned, and this is a great crag for photos.
Getting There
From Slade, take highway 15 west for 1 mile. Turn right onto hwy 77. Continue on 77 through Nada Tunnel. At the bottom of the hill past the Tunnel park in the lot on the left (Martin's Fork Parking Area) and hike back toward the Tunnel looking for a trail on the opposite side. After the first creek crossing take the trail uphill to the left.
The approach trail comes out at the route Maypop.
