Access Issue: NO DRONES ON NATIONAL PARKLANDS Details

All of the crags within the New River Gorge proper are on national parklands, and drone use is prohibited here. There has been some discussion about places to launch drones that are not on park property, and then flying them over the gorge. This is super poor form; don't do it. Park regulations prohibit all drone use over the boundaries without a permit.

Description

Shady Area with several easy sport routes, as well as a few harder lines. This area can be crowded by gumbies and turtles on weekends, so locals might want to steer clear. Alternatively, if this is your first time at the New, you might want to visit here to socialize.

Getting There

Access only from Adventures On The Gorge parking for Raven Rock Disc Golf Course.

Walk through the Disc Golf Course,
staying left to avoid entering Wild Rock.

Follow the blue and silver hiking trail
markers to Wild Rock paths for about .8 miles (15-20 minutes) which will land you at the gully access by Bubba Butt/Beer Wall.
