Due to liability concerns, bridges are being removed in the Owens River Gorge at the request of LADWP. The Bishop Area Climbers Coalition and the Access Fund are currently in negotiations with LADWP to get this issue resolved. In the meantime, please continue to be good land stewards by respecting these bridge closures and finding alternate crossing points until this issue is resolved.
1) Never park or camp overnight at the access points.
2) Always park off the pavement, taking great care to avoid blocking the gates.
3) Clean up after your dogs. (Local climbers are finding abandoned doggie poop bags.)
4) Pack out all trash and TP, including picking up after others.
5) Use the outhouses if at all possible.

Description
While the Warm Up Wall is more likely to see traffic at any given time, and the Pub Wall can have a higher density of climbers, overall the Great Wall of China offers the biggest scene in the Gorge. Morning shade, full afternoon sun. A broad, level bench at its base provides a comfortable hang out spot for man and beast.
As far as the climbing goes, the Great Wall has among the most routes of any area in the Gorge as well as one of the highest concentrations of .8's and .9's (which see a lot of activity/abuse and are becoming polished) though there are also a lot of worthwhile 10's and 11s. In my opinion, the are no super-classics on the Great Wall w/ the possible exception of Aurora (I'll never know).
There is an outhouse a little bit upstream and across the river.
