Description

Morrell's Wall lies in between the Sven Slab area and Gardener's Wall. It's a ways up on the side of the slope and the approach is a bit of a grunt. Normal approach is to cross over left (east) thru the Morrell's Wall Parking Lot and head up the ridge to reach the bottom of the wall. You pass the super thin Tumbling Dice route on a small pinnacle on the way up to Morrell's. There are some good routes up there that are worth the hike.

Getting There

45-60 minute approach. With moderate difficulty - steep trail climbing and a bit of scrambling.

Start out from Tom’s thumb trailhead on the TT trail. After 3-4 minutes you’ll take a left on Mesquite Canyon Trail. Follow this for another five minutes before turning right on the Feldspar Trail. Take Feldspar a couple hundred yards further to the signage for Morrell’s Parking Lot. Take a left here and follow the narrow but well grooved trail across the wash and up the hill. You’ll come to a sign directing you to Morrell’s Wall Parking Lot, phoenix boulder, and the continued approach for Morrell’s Wall.

Morrell’s wall trail continues up and right from the saddle at the parking lot wall. Continue to follow the trail, passing Tumbling Dice on the right heading towards the wall, over a couple hills to the final short climb towards the wall. The trail will end right at the base of the routes “White on” and “side tracked”.
