Description
This wall supports 6 sport routes on a mix of sandstone conglomerate and breccia. Sunshine is limited here and the small canyon seems to funnel a nice breeze through, making it a nice place in summer even when it's rather warm.
- *NOTE** Doom Wall has a seasonal closure due to bird nesting from February 1 to July 1, but is usually open by March if nothing nests.
Getting There
From HWY 166 drive approximately 2.5 miles, passing the Owl's Tor parking and Big Rock enroute. Park in a turnout on the left side of the road. The outcrops are visible staight ahead to the west from here. Follow a trail through somewhat of a meadow until it joins up with a streambed. Continue on downstream and you'll run directly into the wall. The approach takes only a couple of minutes.
