Zuma Rock.

Description

This area is all top rope climbs. The climbs are short but can be tricky. Long slings and a rack are needed to set up TR. Climbing on the east side of the rock can provide some great beginner routes.

Getting There

Park .2 mi past the Haus Rock turn off. There is going to be a large parking turn off on the left side of the road after a sharp turn and large boulder. The parking is large enough for 6-8 cars. Head up a trail from the eastern end of the lot (right of parking). follow the trail up and to the left for about 5 minutes.

Secret Significance 5.8+  CO : Keystone a.k.a. Montezuma : Zuma Rock
Great beginner climb with some tricky moves that will make you think. I use the large rock up top to tie on webbing, but if you have enough webbing, a tree may be better. If you climb up the right wall, this climb becomes a 5.10+ called Zoomer....[more]   Browse More Classics in CO

Fun area to climb, but some of the most bizarre top rope bolt placements I've ever seen....

Wow! This is a really fun area. A great place to start placing some trad gear.
