Description
The Zittau Mountains (Zittauer Gebirge in German) are located in the far eastern part of Saxony and houses over 140 different climbing areas with approximately 2000 routes, either sport or trad. The over plus of the crags are compact sandstone with embedded gravel.
Traditionally, the use of magnesium and metal climbing gear used in trad climbing (nuts, cams, friends) is strictly prohibited, as is climbing on wet rock.
