Sam and Rob, how bad is the rain down there lately? I was hoping to get to Zion this week to climb also but the forecast has been getting me down. Not psyched to get on wet sandstone. Is Zion climbable?

I'm currently in Moab and am heading to St George today. Anyone interested in some afternoon limestone cragging? I'm gonna stick around there until Indian Creek dries up.

Looking for partners! Will climb in Zion if the sandstone is dry. Should be in St George by 1 o clock today..

ROC Zion is out for a few days. We got hit pretty hard yesterday morning and extra hard last night. Weather is sunny for now, but even south facing will need some time to dry out.

Sam, thanks for the update. That was what I was afraid of. Think it might be ready by Saturday?

ROC, it's hard to say. It's best to be conservative. Hopefully, if it doesn't continue to rain, then atleast south facing walls will be dry by Saturday....

Agreed. Hope ya'll are able to get on something down there this week!

Zion Needs at least 2 more days for all aspects to be safe to climb. As with red rock if the grounds wet, the routes wet. another test is to find a book sized rock and try and crack it in half. its surprisingly easy when wet.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
