A lot of us have old retired ropes sitting around the garage, and some of us are climbing on cords that we should retire. Well, if you take your old rope to any Touchstone gym before the end of the year, the Access Fund's Unlock Jailhouse campaign will get $10. That's right, retire any cord and Keen footwear will donate $10 to the Access Fund's effort to secure permanent access to Jailhouse Rock near Sonora.
Touchstone has gyms in Sacramento, Oakland, Berkeley, San Francisco, and Concord. Their blog post about the program is here: blog.touchstoneclimbing.com… Any length cord counts. Doesn't matter if you started with a 60m, trimmed the ends, and are left with 45m of core-shot nylon junk, it's good for $10. But only if you act before the end of the year. Thanks for helping!
Thanks Dave. tell your friends. It would be awesome to get the full $5K by getting them 500 cords. have a good holiday, hopefully featuring warm rock and choice routes.

Bump. Get those old cords to a Touchstone gym by closing time tomorrow (12/31). A painless way to help keep a cliff open. And I'll see you in the El Dub next summer, Mr Albers!
