I'll be traveling to Tulare and Gustine in May and was thinking of staying out there for the weekend and taking a few extra days off of work to jump on LTD. I have climbed in the Valley in 2013, 2012 and would like to make 2014 happen. If anyone has interest in meeting me out there and trying Leaning Tower Direct - West Face, that would be perfect. I have a big wall rack, but a few extra small pieces of gear would be nice to bring along. No portaledge needed for LTD. I would like to start LTD on Saturday May 12th and finish in 3 days, so I can fly back home. If you are interested please reply.

Thanks,

-Brent

hey man i'm from Merced. I live out in TN but I'm flying back home for the summer to climb in Yosemite. I'll be free that weekend but did you mean Saturday May 10? I have a rack and rope and would be willing to climb with you...possibly.

Hey man my name is Ben I'm from Merced originally. I climb 5.10 in the valley. I'm about to do the south face of washington column in 2 weeks the week before you wanted to do the leaning tower. I've been climbing for a few years in Yosemite, Tuolomne, and out in Tennessee where I currently live. I have multi-pitch knowledge and anchoring systems. I've done east buttress of middle cathedral, the easier classics like royal arches and serenity crack. I haven't done much big wall aiding as much as big wall multi pitch free climbing. I am very interested in learning a lot more. I do know how to ascend and aid clean a pitch. I've been reading Chris Mcnamara's how to big wall climb book and aiding every weekend in preparation for Washington column.

I can belay and clean and possibly lead some easier aiding pitches. I've aided c1 and am about to lead c2 the week before we meet...If you do want to do this let me know I would be so psyched to head up the west face. I just started looking at the wall and it looks tough, scary, and no gimme....but sounds like everything I like.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
