I'm fairly new to outdoor climbing and I don't have the sport or trad gear. I was thinking about checking out Yellow Bluff, but I'm getting conflicting information about what's available. Is there access to the top of the cliff for top-roping or is this not a good place?
Unfortunately not. You can lead a route then setup a top rope, but that's it. The top of the cliffs at yellowbluff are private property. To my knowledge, I don't think the SCC has control of it so it would probably be trespassing if you topped out. Don't let that dissuade you though! Yellowbluff has some absolutely amazing climbing! The cliffs on the far right on perfect to learn to lead climb (when you first walk up the trail).
