Description

If this could be called part of the Marina, it would make up the NW edge of the area. This is the handful of spires and domes perched on top of a hill that separates Lost Cabin Creek and Nelson Creek. Easily spotted from the Sylvan Lake General Store parking lot. Look on the skyline to the NE for an orange/yellow overhanging face.

Getting There

Start out on the Harney Trail #9 from Sylvan Lake. Left at Lost Cabin Trail #2 (1st trail junction (with a good view of your destination)). Follow Lost Cabin down past the Lost Cabin Spur that cuts back right. Once the trail levels out, look for a VW Bug size boulder on the right side of trail. Head right off the main trail towards the creek. Follow creek for a few minutes then take the large gully on the right. Take this gully for a ways until you see the Yellow Bird formation straight up the hill on the right. Navigate uphill through the tree graveyard. 1 hour hike...if you don't get lost.
