Wife and kid are going out of town for Christmas/New Years. Really want to climb in Hueco or somewhere, but don't drive. Live in SLC but can fly out to anywhere. Willing to pay for more than my share of gas, food, camping, etc.

Hey guys.
Jason: will you be flying in to visit family? Driving? Since I don't, I am kinda incapacitated.
Pat: how long were you thinking of going for? I could meet you in ATL then return with you afterward?

Thanks guys. Not driving is lame.

I am flying in to visit family in MS. I would come through Birmingham early on the 21st, boulder til dark....camp or grab a hotel room and then climb most of the 22nd.

Thanks! Yeah, probably not worth it for me to fly out for a couple of days. Sorry.
Thanks again, maybe another time?

i will be in birmingham from around the 15th till after new years. I plan on going to hp40 every other day i will have a car and the airport is on the way. i wouldnt mind picking you up dropping you off but i probably wont stay the night with my folks so close. I should also be hitting up some other local spots depending on how cold it is. its been a while since i have been on southeast sandstone

You realize this post was for last year, right?

On another note, I will be around that area near first of the year and may be down for hitting HorsePens and Moss Rock (small crag near Hoover. AL) if youre still around.

Yeah its pretty ghetto with all the graffiti and all but there are some good problems there. Ive been twice and tried to work reignition and beef it but it seems to either rain or be humid as hell when I am there.

there is some graffiti, unfortunately. i actually had some buddys catch some punks in action. they roughed them up some and spray painted their hair. both very nice problems, i hope to get rick james if i can round up enough pads. that and about one hundred others throughout the southeast. you Flying or driving? i might drive and stop in HCR for a day and night.

Dude we should hook up. I will probably fly in. I live down in Colorado Springs and will be down that way around the 3rd or 4th of January.

You live in Denver now? Are you psyched on anything at the Park or Evans?

yea living here in the Den. Yea i go to evans more mostly because its closer. It seems like every time i go to the park weather comes in. i have had some luck at evans both at the lake and in area a and b. i go by myself mostly and would like to adventure to area C and D but dont feel like hiking the pads. I climb moderates but have gotten my first coulple of V6s this summer.

what about you where do you go?

Usually either the park or Evans. I have never been anywhere on Evans aside from Area A but want to check out Lincoln lake and Area very soon. We are headed up to the park on Sunday if you want to get out...Ive got some friends who wanna work on Tommys Arete which is probably the best v7 ever and we will probably spend some time in Upper Chaos also...hoping the rain stays away.

Thanks for the invite but i was kind of busy this weekend. We should hook up. I have a crazy schedule but sometimes get days of the week off. I would love to get up to the park in the next two weeks my email is kdreba@yahoo.com Sundays are good usually although i am hiking with a buddy this weekend. anyway hit me up.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
