1st pitch of Smoked Turkey

Description

A fun day out in the Southfork, with mostly an easy approach, in the sun, and great climbing make this a must do.

Location

From the parking lot hike past the ranch and head down to the river, hug the right hand side of the river staying hikers right either on the river or following game path's on the hill side.
You will notice two drainages coming down the hillside almost all the way to the river, head up the right hand one.

Protection

Screws, V-Thread Material Extra Slings. There are trees to rap from but always a good idea to bring new "leave behind" webbing.

The lower and most of the pitches are in the sun so be there on a cooler day. After the initial first two pitches of fun WI3 you hike further up the drainage to the Awesome Drumstick.
